Platamon is a town and sea-side resort in south Pieria, Central Macedonia, Greece. It is situated on the Aegean Sea coast, 25 km southeast of Mount Olympus. Adjacent beach towns are Neoi Poroi to the southeast and Neos Panteleimonas to the northwest. Platamon is regarded as one of the most significant tourist destinations in Northern Greece. The town has numerous restaurants, cafeterias, hotels and camping resorts. At the same time, you can visit 16 organized beaches with different characteristics each, stretching successively over 70 kilometers, allowing the visitor to draw all the benefits from different, neighboring places and ensuring a wide range of choices.

Our villa is private and very quiet! But, keep in mind that in just 1 Km there is Platamon centre, so night life will be there for you. Platamon is full of clubs and night is very very long.

DION
The Archaeological Park of Dion is the most important archaeological site at Mount Olympus in Greece, located in Dion. The park displays a lot of the history of Pieria from the Hellenistic and Roman periods. Its only 30 km from Platamon - 10min away by car.

PLATAMON CASTLE
The Platamon Castle is a Crusader castle (built between 1204 and 1222) in northern Greece and is located southeast of Mount Olympus, in a strategic position which controls the exit of the Tempe valley, through which passes the main road connecting Macedonia with Thessaly and southern Greece. The tower (donjon), which overlooks the highway, is an imposing medieval fortress.

Fish and calamari fresh from the Aegean Sea are incredibly tasty and cooked with minimum fuss – grilled whole and drizzled with ladholemono (a lemon and oil dressing). Flavoursome smaller fish such as barbounia (red mullet) and maridha (whitebait) are ideal lightly fried.

MOUNT OLYMPUS
PALEOS PANTELEIMONAS
Is an ancient village of shepherds, built in the early century 15, on the eastern slope of Mount Olympus. It was very well preserved while being left in the 60s and declared National Heritage Monument (2003) thus becoming a popular tourist destination due to the picturesque appearance. Paleos Panteleimonas is a true outdoor museum, an idyllic place where you can enjoy what nature has given to Greece, a place where you are simply overwhelmed by the beauty of the surroundings.
